When energy storage is applied in high-frequency and high rate charging and discharging scenarios such as frequency modulation, its safety will be more strictly tested, such as fire accidents in energy storage power plants, solar thermal power plants, electric vehicle fires, and so on. In China, in addition to improving policies and systems, it is necessary to promote the construction of a standard and guideline system for system design, equipment manufacturing, system integration, operation and maintenance, installation and commissioning, and clear the obstacles to the development and technological application of the energy storage industry.
① Strengthen reminders to consumers and design and installation personnel, and provide certification and training for design and installation personnel, especially for small-scale commercial energy storage systems;
② Design energy storage safety guidelines and standard systems, and include relevant event reports in the database for management and public disclosure;
③ Strengthen the recycling management of energy storage batteries when it is difficult to uate their value;
④ Promote the synchronization of industrial development and safety management construction, avoid a single blow, identify core issues, and screen relatively mature technologies.
